LNP leaders vow to trial GPS trackers for domestic violence offenders

Queensland's Opposition leader says an LNP government would trial GPS trackers for high risk domestic violence offenders if it wins office.

00:08Here state LNP leader David Chrisafulli has made an $18 million pledge for GPS bracelet

00:15trackers for DV offenders.

00:17Now magistrates would be able to issue orders to implement this program.

00:22He's also announced around $2.5 million for Beyond Blue to open several more of these

00:27clinics.

00:28We're not so certain though.

00:29We have to have a relentless focus when it comes to dealing with the scourge of domestic

00:34and family violence and we are determined to drive change in the state.

00:39Now with Mr Chrisafulli was National LNP leader Peter Dutton.

00:43Both leaders fielded several questions about nuclear energy in Queensland.

00:56The pair say they're friends and friends have disagreements.
