00:14Lim Wah Shiong nodded in understanding when the charge was read out to him in Mandarin
00:18before Magistrate Shahril Anwar Ahmad Mustafa.
00:21Lim is accused of murdering Muhammad Sharkawi Abu Bakar and is charged under Section 302
00:26of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty upon conviction.
00:31No plea was recorded from the accused as the case falls under the High Court's jurisdiction.
00:37The court set November 8th for case mention for the submission of chemical and post-mortem
00:41reports.
00:43Deputy Public Prosecutor Noora Inshafiqeen Muhammad Rozi appeared for the prosecution
00:48while the accused was not represented.
00:50The victim was found dead with 20 stab wounds, including on his hands and head.
00:55Police investigations revealed that the incident occurred when the victim caught the suspect
