Project T-Top Coupe TMI Products Bucket Seat Install: Part 1

MotorTrend editor KJ Jones installs a set of TMI Products bucket seats in his 1986 Ford Mustang Fox Body

00:00Project T-Top Coupe interior. This is a 1986 Mustang LX Coupe but these seats,

00:06the front seats are from a later model I believe 87 maybe 88 I'm not certain but

00:12they've been recovered refinished with TMI products Fox Mustang seat material

00:17and there's been some padding added. This was all done in 2005 when the car was

00:22originally built 2005-2006 time frame and taking a look a little closer in the

00:30back seat you see that there's a tank that tank is for water and ice for the

00:36intercooler for the engines intercooler and basically we took a stock rear seat

00:42and split it so that you have two rear buckets so to speak you have the pad

00:48there and the pad there that surround the ice water tank and then an original

00:53seat back and they've also been recovered with the same material that's

00:57in the front this is all coming out and going to be replaced with TMI products

01:01Pro Trans Am Mustang Fox Mustang seats and the front going with the high back

01:07buckets with the headrests for the front and then in the back the same seat that

01:17you see here is going to be refinished with the material that we put on the

01:21Pro Trans Am TMI seats TMI products seats so they're gonna look the same

01:27front and rear it's going to be this rear seat though so we have the split

01:31and then the buckets if you will that go around the ice water tank and this is

01:35just a before look and we'll come back and show you how everything plays out
