00:00Former Prime Minister Najib Razak spent Arab Dirma money for political purposes and not for his personal pleasure, a high court today reported.

00:11Shafi'i Abdullah said he opposed the pathology of corruption, that someone took money and spent it for the interest of the public.

00:20According to Shafi'i, the judge has proven that 95% of the money was not spent for Najib's personal purposes.

00:28Asked by Judge Colin Laurence Sekirah if he has the power of law to support his argument,

00:35Shafi'i said it is a fact because Najib's 1MDB case is without precedent.

00:41He said it is one thing that the court must make a factual discovery.

00:47Najib was charged with 25 charges of money laundering and abuse of power over 1MDB funds

00:53worth Rp 2.28 billion, which was deposited into his own M-Bank account between February 2011 and December 2014.
