00:00Thanks to the developers of Field of Vision, I can finally train to become Bruce Lee though
00:20probably more like Kung Fu Panda.
00:26This is yet another game I've been sitting on for a while, left out because the sounds
00:30of it just didn't appeal to me.
00:33You start off with the Wing Chun training, it's going to tell you all you need to know
00:37about what to hit, how to hit, what to block, what to dodge.
00:42You punch paddles, you block spears, dodge blades and planks of wood.
00:46All menus are laid out just perfectly, they're so colourful, easy to read and easy to navigate.
00:52You will be offered to Train, Fight, Workout, Multiplayer, Event, My Dojo and Wing Chun
01:00as well as an Achievements menu and Settings menu.
01:03Some of the menus offer levels, like Training has 30 levels, Fight has 10 levels, Workout
01:11has 27 levels and Event has 18 levels.
01:16They work on a tier system, so as you rank up tiers it will start getting more difficult.
01:22Also in Training you are given 4 lives, so you can only make 4 mistakes or you will have
01:27to start that level again.
01:29In each level you will have to reach a certain score to be able to progress to the next level.
01:35You will be graded on Accuracy, Range, Dodges, Blocks and Punches.
01:40I wouldn't have believed that playing this game could be so beneficial to you, but I
01:45can easily see if you play this game on a regular basis it's really going to improve
01:50your reflexes, reactions and fitness.
01:53It really is like having your own personal sensei to call upon whenever you need.
01:58You might think it sounds easy, and at first it is, but then as you progress things will
02:03start coming at you in pairs and then they move up and down and get faster.
02:09The mechanics are great, the punching, blocking, ducking, it just all feels natural.
02:14In workout mode you can create a perfect workout to your needs that combines skill,
02:20style and flow.
02:22Now when it comes to the fight menu, be warned, you are going to need some more space to play
02:27than the others as you will be going around a bit.
02:31It will offer you 2x2m, 3x3m or 4x4m.
02:36For me personally this was a bit of an issue as I was only in a small space like a 1x2m,
02:43so I was always conscious about what I might punch in real life.
02:47There is a multiplayer menu here too, but it's still in beta.
02:50I didn't try this myself, but it just looks as if two of you will be doing the same thing
02:56as you would in train or fight and maybe your combined score determines if you progress
03:01or you compete against each other for the best score.
03:05Also worth mentioning that as you progress you unlock dojos that you can then select
03:11to change your backdrops.
03:13They all look well designed and colourful and help you believe you are training in a
03:17traditional Chinese dojo or way up in the mountains.
03:21There are also bracers and masks you can unlock.
03:24I understand the bracers as you see them whilst you fight, but the mask makes no sense to
03:29me as you only see this in the mirror of the mask menu, but I guess in multiplayer others
03:35will also see this mask.
03:36I did enjoy playing this game and it's a great looking game, but I think maybe you
03:41have to be into kung fu or some sort of fighting to really get the best out of this game as
03:47it doesn't really appeal enough to me to want to play it much.
03:51So on that I score Crazy Kung Fu a 36 out of 40 and you can find my scoring system in
03:58the description section below.
