00:00In today's modern world, a lot of people are using Artificial Intelligence.

00:05It's a big help, just like the media that uses it to fight fake news.

00:11But how can AI help?

00:15Let's find out in the story of Rod Laguzan.

00:20With the continuous change of technology,

00:22the public has more access to different kinds of information.

00:27But at the same time, fake news is spreading.

00:30Some of them are the result of artificial intelligence or AI,

00:35like deepfakes, or altered videos and edited images.

00:39There are even cases where it's hard to know if a video or picture is real or not.

00:45On the other hand, AI can also fight this

00:49and help those who are willing to give reliable information.

00:54In a workshop held by the U.S. Embassy on Artificial Intelligence,

01:00various AI tools were discussed,

01:04such as transcription, photo and video editing, search engine, and many more.

01:09It also includes how effective AI can be used,

01:13such as ChatGPT, which is a big help in data analysis.

01:20It is a tool for processing information.

01:24You bring the source of information that you verified and vetted.

01:28Then you just use AI to get summarization, to process data,

01:33and to make things easier for you to find.

01:37But the search for that information and the vetting of that information

01:42should come from you as a journalist.

01:45Through this, it's easier to present a piece of news to the public,

01:49just like a project of a company.

01:51Hopefully, the stories of journalists will be better.

01:54More issues will be exposed

01:57because the world of journalists and the data they can use has expanded.

02:05According to Tordesilla, it's important to explain to people

02:08how AI was used in particular,

02:10especially since the public has a notion or concept when it comes to AI

02:14that has different uses.

02:16That's why it's important to have a safeguard or caution

02:20to say that the information is accurate or correct.

02:23It's still important for our public to have trusted news sources.

02:29Make a list of what you trust.

02:32Then before you believe what you see on social media

02:37or what you see on chat groups,

02:39if you don't have that, just don't believe it

02:41or just share the news that was forwarded to you.

02:46You won't know where it came from.

02:48Now that AI is here,

02:50many are already using it.

02:51It's important for the media to understand it

02:53and for it to be useful.

02:55As a tool or a tool that can help journalists,
