Sekretaris Jenderal Kementerian Perindustrian, Eko S.A. Cahyanto, menyatakan bahwa banyak negara yang membidik Indonesia sebagai pasar dari produk bersertifikasi halal. Menurutnya, Hal ini dikarenakan banyaknya penduduk Indonesia serta mayoritas di antaranya beragama Islam.
