00:00Perikatan Nasional Election Director Azmin Ali said the opposition was not engaging in

00:06personal attacks when raising a now-debunked claim about Barisan Nasional's candidate

00:11for the Makuta by-election.

00:13Azmin explained that PN was merely addressing a matter brought to their attention.

00:19He said Badrul Khisham Shaharin, known as Chigubart, had based his claim on a police

00:23report and only sought clarification on the issue.

00:28Azmin added that PN did not make any allegations or pass judgment on Saeed Hussein Saeed Abdullah,

00:33the BN candidate.

00:35Yesterday, Badrul revealed he had police documents allegedly implicating Saeed Hussein in a fight

00:41which caused injuries and urged the latter to clear the air.

00:46Saeed Hussein denied the claim and is now considering legal action against Badrul.

00:50BN Chairman Ahmad Zahir Hamdi later explained that Saeed Hussein had come to the defense

00:55of a blind person in 2008, while Kluang Police Chief Bahrain Noh confirmed that the UMNO

01:00Youth Theater had no criminal record.
