00:00I've heard the thesis being passed around that brain rot is dead, and in my opinion this current
00:04wave of brain rot may be dying, but along with its death will usher in a new form of communication.
00:08Words like skippity are starting to fall out of the common internet warrior's lexicon,
00:12and part of it is because it might have overstayed its welcome in many people's eyes.
00:15So much so that some of these words have begun seeing usage in mainstream realms.
00:19Let's take a look at this new Walmart ad, for example.
00:21On July 29th, 2024, the Walmart YouTube channel posted this ad, advertising back-to-school
00:26fashion, and in it, the bus driver gets a lesson from a kid that ate has replaced slay,
00:30and even promises to teach the driver the word Ohio on the way back home.
00:34By the way, did you see the Senate speech in Australia?
00:36Australian Senator Fatima Payman said, quote,
00:38The sigmas of Australia, as well as the legitimate words cap-a-holics and yap-a-holics.
00:43If you can believe it, she even says skippity in this speech.
00:47Out loud, in a government building.
00:48I'm just glad that the, uh, the skippity toilets are finally getting representation.
00:51I think we should pass laws giving equal rights to the skippities.
00:54It's unfair.
00:54Skippity.
