00:00Welcome back to the early line live right here on this Monday

00:06to start off a new week as we end out week number three with

00:10a Monday night doubleheader.

00:12Then we'll have a full day a couple of days off from football

00:15as we do Thursday will get us back underway and for college

00:19football week number five.

00:20We've got some good games on Friday and we've got some great

00:23games on Saturday including where everybody will be looking

00:29Tuscaloosa, Alabama under the lights inside Brian Denny for a

00:34top five tilt.

00:36It's number two, Georgia and number four, Alabama at Nick

00:41Saban field in Tuscaloosa.

00:45Look at the spread.

00:47It is two and a half not in favor of the tide, but the dogs

00:52on the road in Tuscaloosa.

00:54Let's just start with the regular season aspect of this game.

00:59It will be just the third regular season meeting between

01:02conference mates, Georgia and Alabama since the 2015 season.

01:09Yes, they have played a ton in recent years twice in 2021 SEC

01:14title National Championship game and last year's SEC championship,

01:19but again only twice in the regular season up until Saturday

01:24from the start of 2015.

01:27So let's use 2015 as our barometer.

01:31Alabama has only been an underdog five times since 2015 five

01:36times in nearly 10 years of college football since 2015.

01:40They are three and two against the spread and they are three

01:44and two straight up four of the five games as an underdog have

01:50come against who Georgia in that regular season matchup in 2015

01:55in both the SEC and National Championship games in 2021, Alabama

02:01won the SEC title Georgia got the last laugh and a cover as a

02:05national champion in 2021.

02:08And of course a year ago Alabama as the underdog outright in

02:12Atlanta once again over UGA the Crimson Tides only other time

02:17as a dog last year's Rose Bowl and college football playoff

02:20semifinal against Michigan that game went to overtime.

02:24What an exceptional was it as exceptional one?

02:26It was in Pasadena.

02:29How about a home underdog bed?

02:31When's the last time Alabama was booked as a home underdog that

02:34would be November of 2007 the very first year Nick Saban was

02:39the head coach for Alabama.

02:42They were a six and a half point underdog in that opening year

02:46against LSU.

02:48This will be the first time if the line holds and it should it's

02:52not just a pick them or a couple of cents on the money line in

02:55favor of UGA.

02:56It's two and a half points in favor of Georgia against Alabama.

03:01And again, if the line holds it will snap a consecutive streak

03:05of a hundred and thirteen home games inside Brian Denny Stadium

03:10as the favorite for Alabama.

03:13It is crazy to see Alabama getting points at home in Tuscaloosa.

03:21Now, let's talk about the game itself.

03:23Does that make sense?

03:25Alabama has been incredibly impressive and it's opening three

03:28games of the year.

03:30Both of these teams had a bye week number four of this college

03:34football season in week three Alabama went on the road to

03:38Wisconsin hammered the Badgers covered easily as a 1415 and a

03:43half point favorite winning 42 to 10.

03:46Jalen Milrow threw for three touchdowns had two more on the

03:49ground in each of the three for the Crimson Tide this season

03:52Milrow has had two passing and two rushing touchdowns.

03:56At least he is being unlocked in this Kalen DeBoer offense.

04:00It's why he has the third best price to win a Heisman trophy.

04:03What about UGA?

04:04The last time we saw Georgia it was on the road against Kentucky

04:09in week number three in the Bulldogs SEC opener more than a

04:14three touchdown favorite in Lexington.

04:16They win by only a single point 13 to 12.

04:20By the way, Georgia has been under in all three games this

04:23year.

04:23It's why this total is relatively minimal at 50 and a hook the

04:29Georgia Bulldogs since the start of the 2022 college football

04:36season have lost one game.

04:38They've lost one time in their last 33.

04:42It was to Alabama in the SEC championship game a season ago

04:47since the end of 2020 and they finished out on a four-game

04:51win streak that being UGA as I do the quick math.

04:54I had 51 total games from that point Georgia has lost twice

05:00to Alabama in the 2021 SEC title game in the 2023 SEC title

05:06game all to say if you ask me right here right now, Georgia

05:10laying the number in Tuscaloosa is the right side.

05:13Georgia remains the SEC favorite in front of Tennessee and

05:17Alabama.

05:18You see the odds right there.
