00:00The Justice Department is now moving to look for the criminal case of Tony Yang and for him to be brought to justice here in the Philippines.

00:10This is what Louisa Erispe reported.

00:14Because Tony Yang is slowly getting involved in the investigation of POGO,

00:19his brother Michael Yang, who was the former economic advisor during the administration of former President Rodrigo Duterte,

00:25the Department of Justice is now looking for another case against Tony Yang.

00:31DOJ said that the Bureau of Immigration, NDI, PAOC, and Anti-Money Laundering Council are now moving to look for the criminal case of Tony Yang.

00:41They are looking for the various businesses of Tony Yang,

00:45the warehouse, the possible POGO,

00:49to see what can be a heavier crime against him.

00:55Even the land ownership issues,

00:57because he has his Filipino identity and he has obtained ID,

01:03and he used his Filipino identity to own corporations and lands.

01:10As of now, according to the DOJ,

01:12it is possible to file a case of falsification of documents and illegal use of alias of Tony Yang.

01:18This is based on his confession to the Senate that he only revealed his Filipino identity.

01:23If this is true, it is enough for Tony Yang to be deported back to China.

01:27But according to the DOJ, it is still important for him to be able to answer the law in the Philippines.

01:33The NBI and our fiscals in Region 10 are looking for the minor cases that can be filed against him

01:40so that he can no longer be deported,

01:43so that he can have a reason to be left in the Philippines and face criminal cases.

01:47We have a choice between immediate deportation and filing of criminal cases.

01:50I think that the filing of criminal cases takes precedence now.

01:54We need to file a case so that we can get to the bottom of it.

01:58As of now, the DOJ continues to listen to cases related to the illegal operation of POGO.

02:04The preliminary investigation for the money laundering case against Guo has already started.

02:09The DOJ is also listening to the case of qualified human trafficking against Cassandra Ong and others

02:16because of the illegal operation of POGO in Porac, Pampanga.

02:19Meanwhile, the DOJ is also trying to reduce the number of persons deprived of liberty as victims

02:27of the long process of cases in the Philippines.

02:30That's why the sentence is getting longer.

02:32The DOJ signed an agreement with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines

02:36so that the cases that will be filed in court will be cases with sufficient evidence that can be resolved quickly.

02:42Once you file your case, it's ready for trial.

02:46You can't file your case based on affidavit.

02:49Once everything is ready, the system will be quick.

02:52The justice system will be quick.

02:54The IBP and DOJ agreed on a new measure in the preliminary investigation
