00:00Oh, I had a very simple childhood.

00:04I grew up in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro, so I'm Provinciana at heart.

00:08We had a simple life.

00:10My father was a government physician.

00:15So early on, I knew what service meant, you know, serving the poor.

00:20My mother was a teacher, so education was a very, very important factor in our growing

00:26up years.

00:27We were taught very good values by our parents, the value of humility, kindness, all the stuff

00:34that you need to stand on to be successful in life, however you want to define success.
