00:00Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has expressed disappointment that religious authorities

00:06did not act earlier against welfare homes run by Global Aekwan Services and business

00:13In a post today, Sultan Sharafuddin decreed that all unregistered GISPH premises in Selangor

00:19be closed immediately.

00:21He said the criminal acts uncovered have tarnished the good name and sanctity of Islam.

00:26The Selangor Sultan said he was upset and disappointed that no action was taken to effectively

00:31address the issue.

00:33He also said the delay in dealing with the matter had exposed the religious agency's

00:38weakness in monitoring and enforcing the law.

00:42On September 11, police rescued 402 children from 20 welfare homes in Selangor and Negeri

00:48Sembilan that are linked to GISPH.

00:51Yesterday, police Mufti Asri Zainul Abidin declared that GISPH promotes deviant beliefs

00:57and operates businesses in an un-Islamic manner.
