00:00Today we hear more and more about aggression against health workers, doctors and nurses in particular.

00:11Especially, among other things, against female hygienists, and this is a very serious issue.

00:16It is a serious problem because soon there will probably be no one left to fight in the emergency department

00:22because there is no longer any doctor who wants to work there.

00:24And this is a serious problem, not only for doctors, but especially for citizens.

00:29We are working a lot on this to create those conditions of serenity in the work of the doctor.

00:36He must be protected in some way.

00:38So we must not only create and make laws that clearly increase the penalties in the case of aggression,

00:45which are certainly a deterrent.

00:47The main thing is to find solutions that are valid to protect these professionals,

00:54but also to avoid that patients or those who come with bad intentions

01:00can easily have direct contact with health workers.

01:05So, clearly, to create separate paths that guarantee safety.

01:10The other main thing is that the patient or whoever is going to call the doctor

01:16finds himself in situations where there is certainly something that does not work.

01:19He gets angry about something that does not work.

01:21Bureaucracy. The fact is that waiting lists are also a serious problem.

01:26So we need to solve the problems structurally, both in an organizational way,

01:30let's say structural, so let's say in some way an architectural barrier that avoids direct contact,

01:36but above all also organizational, which allows citizens to safely and in the right times

01:42to suffer the health benefits.

01:45In addition to this, there is clearly the fact of having to educate people

01:49to the fact that the doctor is at work to help them,

01:53so not certainly to create problems.

01:56So it is curious that a patient who goes for a health problem

02:00then ends up going to hit the health worker who has to assist him in some way.

02:05This is a fact that must be overcome.

02:07And to do this, we must sensitize public opinion.

02:11In fact, L'Ordine Medici is taking an important initiative.

02:58in order to make patients understand how serious what is happening is.
