00:08Um, maybe. I hope that Pop Douglas is more involved in the game plan.

00:15He's, he was one of the few bright spots on the team all last season.

00:19I don't know. I mean, I feel like tonight could either be a resounding rebound

00:25or a feeling like the season's slipping away in week two.

00:29It's a good Jets, really good Jets defense though.

00:32More so the secondary than anything, which is why I don't think you'll see them open up the pass game tonight.

00:37Like tonight doesn't feel like the night to do that.

00:40Especially with, you know, you've seen the 49ers run all over this Jets defense.

01:17because then it'll just show like, all right, maybe it is time that we need to get Drake May

01:23because he'll be able to bring more to the table when it just comes his ability

01:27to throw the football rather than watching a guy that's going to average,

01:31you know, 125 yards in the passing game.

01:33Yeah, but the problem is they go and win this game tonight.

02:16I could see Drake May coming in later that quarter.

02:18Yeah, I mean, listen, the problem with that is, though, you can't go back after that.

02:36then go back to Jacoby Brissette next week.

02:42He was already dinged up Sunday against the Seahawks.

02:44He got his bell rung against the Jets.

02:47Let's give him an extra period of time off before Sunday,

02:49the next weekend, against the 49ers.

02:51And all we've been told is that the reason that Jacoby Brissette is the guy

02:55is that he's a vet and he understands.

02:57Like, if you go away from him,

02:58I don't think he's going to have the rookie mindset of, oh God, my job.

03:02Like, he's known he's been a backup for so long.

03:04I think Jacoby Brissette, that wouldn't rattle him to go back and forth.

03:08Well, see, I look at it like this.

03:09Why would you go back?

03:11Because, and it's hard because you wanna ask Mayo, but

03:14you know he's not really gonna give you the answer.

03:17I would ask him this, what does Jacoby Brissette,

03:22what is he doing that Drake May can't do?

03:27Because if you're not asking him to throw the ball a lot, and

03:30when he does throw the ball, it screens and say, hey, focus on the check downs.

03:35And you're handing it off, Drake May could do that.

03:39I mean, see, that's the thing that I would love to get answers from them.

03:44It's not like you're asking Jacoby Brissette to go out there and

03:46change plays at the line of scrimmage, throw the ball 30, 35 times a game.

03:52What is he doing that Drake May can't do?

03:56And Wiggy, you're so right too, because the one thing you would expect Brissette

03:59to know how to do would be to get rid of the ball on third and five,

04:03knowing a sack is the one thing that you don't want as you're about to kick

04:06a field goal to go up six points.

04:08So what do you think, Wiggy, if you ask the offensive players off the record,

04:14who do you wanna start, Drake or Jacoby?

04:16What do you think the reaction would be?

04:17I would say they would say Drake, because when Shyam did his all 22,

04:22and we're talking about the all 22, not the Greg's dating website.

04:26When he did that, it really showed how Jacoby Brissette had time,

04:34but he wouldn't pull the trigger when it came to throwing the ball to a receiver

04:40that had a window that was 17, 18 yards down the field.

04:45And that, I think, is the difference when you think about Drake May.

04:49If you put Drake May in there and you say, okay, hey, listen,

04:52we're running a two-man route.

04:54This is your first read.

04:55You come off play action.

04:56If that window's open a little bit, let it rip.

04:59With Jacoby Brissette, same thing.

05:01He comes off play action.

05:03There's a window there.

05:04What's he do?

05:05I don't think he has the confidence he can make that throw.

05:08And I think he's thinking to himself, oh, I can't throw an interception.

05:12Then he doesn't even have to check down and he gets sacked.

05:16All right, well, 8.15 kickoff this evening, Thursday night football,

05:21and Curtis just suggested that he believes you will see Drake May at some point this evening.

05:27That, if you're keeping track, is a Curtis bomb.
