00:38and we think about it as this sort of independent stat,

00:40but that's what wins above replacement means.

00:43That's what you pay for.

00:46Having this person instead of a replacement-level player

00:49over the course of an entire season

00:50means you win five more games.

00:52A star player, a six-win player that you pay.

00:57You pay for that.
