On the 2024 Emmys red carpet, Sofía Vergara tells THR how her role in Griselda has opened up new opportunities for her in Hollywood.

00:03We saw so much range with you in this role.
00:06Has it led to any new opportunities, any unexpected opportunities in Hollywood?
00:09Yes, yes.
00:10You know, of course, you know, I never did it because I wanted to change, you know, my
00:16career.
00:17I mean, I was so grateful for doing Gloria Pritchett for 11 years and having such an
00:22amazing role.
00:23It was just something, it was a character that I wanted to do very badly because I thought
00:27I knew her because I'm Colombia, I'm a mother, an immigrant.
00:33But yes, I mean, it gave me an opportunity to show that I could do something different
00:38so I'm very excited for the future.
00:40Not that I don't want to do comedy, I would love to keep doing comedy, it's so much easier.
