Venezuelan Supreme Court rejects sanctions imposed by the United States

00:17The Supreme Court of Justice of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on behalf of the judiciary

00:24power, repudiates once more the interfering U.S. actions in the internal affairs of the

00:35republic by imposing cohesive unilateral measures, illegitimate illegal measures, on 16 Venezuelan

00:45officials among them the justices Carizlia Beatriz Rodríguez Rodríguez, Fanny Beatriz

00:54Marquez Cordero, Inocencio Antonio Figueroa, Mariaquia Gil Rodríguez, and Juan Carlos

01:03Hidalgo Pandares.

01:05Likewise, the judge Miguel Cisnero, such recurring practice against our homeland and Venezuelan

01:17officials are violating the principles of the international rights, which has self-determination

01:29and democracy, in which the Venezuelan constitutional system is being exercised by the people.

01:40In such regard, we reaffirm the content of the constitution preamble that expresses the

01:48people of Venezuela exercising their creative powers, invoking the God's protection and

01:59Bolivar's example, and are indigenous and founders of a free sovereign homeland, to

02:11establish a democratic participatory protagonist democracy, a state of justice that consolidates

02:22the values of freedom, independence, peace, solidarity, the welfare, the integrity of

02:33the territory, coexistence, and the compliance of the law for this and future generations.

02:42Likewise, as daughters and sons of Simón Bolívar, we are not going to surrender, to

02:49kneel down before foreign forces, that's why this Supreme Court of Justice has been a promoter of

02:58peace in Venezuela, and our decisions have been centered in the judicial and national order to

03:10impose justice before any hordes. Venezuela and the representatives of all political powers have

03:19been facing the historical challenges of external aggressions that we have been dealing with during

03:30the last decades, with the aim of strengthening the Venezuelan constitutionality in an attempt

03:39to tear down democracy and hinder the good course of the Venezuelan state, which can be described as a

03:48new colonialist action that still is in the conventional methodologies of some international

04:02systems. So, I quote Bolívar, the United States of America seems to be destined by Providence to

04:13spread misery all over Latin America on behalf of freedom. Likewise, the judicial power expresses

04:23its solidarity with the rest of public powers, which has been attacked and discredited by the

04:32U.S. imperialism. We ratified our commitment to peace, sovereignty, and the independence of our

04:40beloved Venezuela, Caracas, on September 13, 2024. That is all. Thank you very much.

04:49We were listening to the President of the Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela expressing the

04:58body's rejection of U.S. interference and U.S. newly imposed sanctions on the country. So, as we
