Should Commanders Brass Have Leaned Into "Rebuild" More?

00:07put on t-shirts anybody anytime anywhere you know how that's on like all the polos that all the

00:13coaches are wearing and stuff i'm cool with all that because i think that you got to act as if to

00:18an extent the mistake that i do think they've made is i don't think they did a good enough

00:23job frequently enough telling us how bad the roster was and that this is in fact a rebuild

00:29like using the word rebuild should not be a pejorative when you're taking over a 4 and 13

00:35bad football team yeah that just picked second overall so i'll agree with that i think if you

00:39you heard probably whatever you want to like if you go back to all those pressers where they're

00:44not using rebuild and saying that they're recalibrating and when they're not using

00:48rebuild and saying they're finding north there are also answers where they're talking about

00:52it's going to take time it's we need some patience and so i think you heard some of that too

00:59i personally after watching their first game think maybe they should have leaned a little more into

01:04the rebuild thing though because like you and so many others especially when you drafted a

01:08quarterback at number two overall i think there's this thought of what's 30 plus new players it's

01:14a new quarterback the the owner has changed the gm has changed the coach is different the

01:19quarterback is brand new at the most important position you know maybe this thing will look

01:24a lot different and i don't think anybody needed them to beat the bucks but for them to have lost

01:28as bad as they did and to have just looked as unprepared is probably unfair but ish you know

01:36just what did they have going for themselves in that game what was the plan on offense other than

01:42go make a play jaded what do you have to hang your hat on defensively coming out of that game

01:47you've already fired one of your key specialists because of how much of a debacle

01:51that part of the game was you could not have had a worse first week it was only one week

01:57and maybe in the grand scheme of things it won't mean a lot

02:00but that's all we've had so far and it went about as bad as it could have
