00:00In order to save and free the unemployed in the country,

00:04the Nationwide Job Fair will be held this Friday in different parts of the country.

00:12This is Noel Talacay's report.

00:16According to the PSA, the unemployment rate of the country is 4.7%.

00:224 to 5 out of 10 Filipinos are unemployed as of July 2024.

00:28This is based on the latest Labor Force Survey of the Philippine Statistic Authority or PSA.

00:35In order to support this,

00:37the Department of Labor and Employment or DOLE will hold a nationwide job fair this September 13, 2024

00:46under the leadership of the President,

00:48a sufficient service for all job fairs.

00:52According to the DOLE, there are more than 60 job fairs in the country

00:59where more than 100 employers will participate

01:02and more than 60,000 jobs are waiting for job seekers.

01:08We identified the types of jobs in demand and vacancies,

01:14production workers, machine operators, customer service, cashiers, sales clerks, painters, carpenters, and service crew.

01:26A venue has been set up where the so-called job fair will be held in each region.

01:31It can be seen on DOLE's social media and website.

01:35Along with the so-called job fair, DOLE will also conduct a payout

01:39for beneficiaries of the Tupad Program where the fund will reach Php 1 billion.

01:46Aside from that, various livelihood programs worth Php 183 million will be provided by the so-called agency.

01:56In 76 provinces, we will have payouts.

02:02This is across regions.

02:04This will reach more than 250,000 beneficiaries.

02:11There will also be awarding of livelihood projects.

02:15This will be conducted in more than 60 venues for more than 9,000 beneficiaries.

02:26According to the Labor and Employment Department,

02:28there are five top industries that will be involved in the job fair this year.

02:34That is why it is advisable for job seekers to be prepared before going to the venue of the job fair.
