00:00The Civil Service Commission will hold a nationwide bloodletting drive

00:05as part of the 124th Civil Service Anniversary this year.

00:15The Civil Service Commission is celebrating the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary

00:21which is the theme of Malasakit sa Kapwa.

00:24That's why the government employees will hold a bloodletting drive

00:28here at the CSE Central Office in Batasan Hills, Quezon City

00:32starting later this morning at 8am.

00:37The Civil Service Commission is encouraging the government employees

00:41to help save lives by participating in the nationwide bloodletting drive.

00:47The theme of the activity is Dogtong Buhay Handog ng Nikod Bayan.

00:51The CSE is supported by the Department of Health Philippine Blood Center

00:55and Dr. Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium.

01:00The CSE Chairperson, Carlo Nograles, is expecting

01:04the support of the agencies of the national and local governments.

01:08In Nograles' message, he is encouraging the agencies and the government

01:13to be united in showing Malasakit throughout the day.

01:17According to him, the intention of donating blood for medical needs

01:22is a form of public service that shows our importance in life.

01:27The CSE is also encouraging those who have been infected

01:30to make sure they have enough sleep before blood donation,

01:33eat nutritious food, especially iron-rich foods, and drink plenty of water.

01:38Those who have been infected are not allowed to donate.

01:41For those who have been infected, they are allowed to have tattoos or piercings within 6 months

01:45from the dental procedure and are not allowed to enter the standard hemoglobin level.

01:55For the National Capital Region, the blood donation drive will be conducted

02:04and at the DENR Environmental Management Bureau Office in Quezon City
