00:02We know that electric current is generated by the directional movement of electric charge.

00:07The direction of electric current is opposite to the direction of movement of negative charge,

00:12that is, the direction of movement of positive charge.

00:15It flows from the positive electrode to the negative electrode outside the power supply

00:21and from the negative electrode to the positive electrode inside the power supply.

00:26The magnitude of the electromotive force of the power supply is equal to the work done by the electric force

00:37For example, the potential of the positive charge in the figure increases from 0 volts to 20 volts,

00:44and the electromotive force is equal to 20 volts.

00:47Electromotive force generates voltage at both ends of the power supply.
