00:04at the Toronto Film Festival.

00:05Welcome to the Female Filmmakers Dinner

00:07presented by Chanel and Variety.

00:09And to start things off, I wanted to do a toast

00:12to all the female filmmakers in the room.

00:14So if you are a female filmmaker,

00:15please raise your hand so we can raise a glass to you.

00:25Her movie Night Bitch is premiering tonight.

00:30The next thing I wanted to ask is

00:32if you work with a female filmmaker,

00:34if you're an actor, producer, director,

00:37a decision maker, please raise your hand.

00:41If you've done that in the last two years,

00:43please raise your hand.

00:45Lots of hands.

00:45And that is what tonight is about.

00:48Variety and Chanel have partnered

00:49for the last five years on this dinner and on this event.

00:52And we keep it small, we keep it intimate

00:54because it's really important for people

00:56to meet each other, to talk, to inspire each other,

01:00to talk about storytelling.
