00:00Wow, what a beautiful day in Hollywood.
00:03Said no one ever.
00:04Not me, man.
00:07This takes me back 22 years.
00:10December 16, 2002.
00:11I was thrilled to be honored and presented with my own walk.
00:14Starring the Walk of Fame.
00:16And my mom was there, and she's gone now.
00:18But my son was there, and he's here today.
00:21He's 37.
00:24Unbelievable.
00:24I was 13 then.
00:26But this is Georgia's day.
00:28November 5, 2026, and we're all here to recognize George,
00:31a beloved television presenter,
00:33a student intrepid political commentator,
00:36a strategist, an analyst,
00:38and a celebrated and best-selling author.
00:43Here's who you've got part.
00:44He's on the board of our foundation.
00:45He's been on the board of our foundation since the onset.
00:48And he's brought tremendous energy to raising funds for Parkinson's research,
00:52and I'll always be grateful for him for that.
00:54He puts it first.
00:55It's really amazing.
00:58Here we go more about George.
00:59You don't get a Biden into people's homes every morning
01:01while they're running around half-naked getting dressed
01:03and ready for work and rushing the kids off to school
01:07if you're a jerk.
01:11Who needs that kind of pressure?
01:13George is like an island in a sea,
01:15an island of calm in a sea of chaos.
01:17As each of us in our own way say,
01:18good morning, America.
01:20Then there's Sunday mornings when George shifts gears
01:22and takes on the big weighty matters of the day,
01:25the preceding week and the days ahead.
01:27One of the funny things about being with George all these years,
01:31if he calls you at 7 in the morning,
01:33it's to make lunch plans.
01:36And dinner is 5.30.
01:39And he's running out the door at like 6 o'clock.
01:42I think it's just a ruse not to pay the bill.
01:47The other thing we have in common is we're both men of average height.
01:52He may be a little bit taller.
01:55We're both lousy golfers.
01:56Well, he may be a little bit better than me,
01:58but that's a whole staying still over the ball thing
02:00that I can't handle.
02:03Our wives, Ellen and Tracy, have been friends for years.
02:05Our kids are very good friends.
02:07We all add in Harper.
02:09Our family's going on vacation.
02:10The other went to Greece twice.
02:12Tell you for me, if you ever want to be invisible,
02:13go to Greece with George Stephanopoulos.
02:19No one will ever see you.
02:23George always has to go home early.
02:24He takes the job very seriously.
02:26He's part of the work he gets to do.
02:28He loves the people who watch him every day,
02:29and I've seen him on several occasions,
02:31have a chat with him,
02:32and leave them happier than he found them.
02:34Unless they're Greek,
02:35in which case they tear his clothes
02:36and cut up the strips of his hair.
02:39And he's got a lot of hair.
02:42Now, the reason we're...
02:43I was going to have all this.
02:45This was it.
02:46The reason we're all here
02:48is to launch the 2028 presidential election,
02:50and I hereby nominate my buddy's election.
03:01Think about it.
03:02It would work.
03:02It would work.
03:03Let me wait.
03:04Congratulations, George.
03:06Keep living the blessed life
03:07and stay still over the ball.
03:08I love you.
03:09I love your family.
03:10I can be more thrilled than to see you have a star
03:12on a walking fan.
03:15Thank you
