Former President Donald Trump said Thursday he would create a government efficiency commission to audit the entire federal government, an idea suggested by billionaire Elon Musk, who would lead it.

00:00To stop this onslaught at lower prices, I'm pledging today that in my second term,

00:05we will eliminate a minimum of 10 old regulations for every one new regulation.

00:11We'll be able to do that quite easily, actually.

00:14And instead of attacking industries of the future, we will embrace them,

00:18including making America the world capital for crypto and Bitcoin.

00:28Fourth, at the suggestion of Elon Musk,

00:33who has given me his complete and total endorsement, that's nice.

00:36He's a smart guy. He knows what he's doing.

00:41That's very, very much appreciated.

00:44I will create a government efficiency commission tasked with conducting

00:47a complete financial and performance audit of the entire federal government

00:52and making recommendations for drastic reforms.

00:56We need to do it. We can't go on the way we are now.

01:05And Elon, because he's not very busy, has agreed to head that task force.

01:11It would be interesting if he has the time.
