00:00The palace declared this day as National Day of Mourning

00:05following the death of the late Maniligha ng Bayan, Federico Caballero.

00:11According to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

00:14through Proclamation No. 678,

00:17Caballero's death is a great loss to the country

00:21so a Manilighang like him should be honored

00:25who contributed greatly to the survival of the Panay-Bukid culture

00:31through his works.

00:33Because of this, the Philippines will remain half-mast

00:36in the government's duties inside and outside the country

00:41until this day is over.

00:43Caballero was also declared as Maniligha ng Bayan in 2000

00:48as a recognition to him due to his care for the tradition and culture of Sugidano

00:54in the Panay-Bukid.
