00:00The province of Albay is now a part of the National Day of Mourning

00:04as a tribute to the declaration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

00:08who is far from the victims of Hurricane Christine.

00:11Gary Carillo of Radyo Pilipinas with the national news.

00:17The government of Pandalawigan ng Albay gathered early in front of its Capitol

00:23for the traditional Monday Flag Ceremony.

00:27The program started with a harmonious dance from the youth.

00:32Next is the peaceful singing of Lupang Hinirang

00:35and the rising of the Philippine flag in the half-mast.

00:39The members of the government of Pandalawigan

00:43joined in their prayers at the end of the ceremony.

00:46This is a symbol of solidarity on National Day of Mourning

00:49for the victims of Hurricane Christine.

00:52In accordance with Proclamation No. 728

00:54declared by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.,

00:58National Day of Mourning is a tribute to the families

01:03of the victims of Hurricane Christine.

01:05According to Albay Acting Governor Glenda Ong Bongao,

01:08seven people were affected by landslides and floods

01:13like Hurricane Christine in the province of Albay

01:16and they were immediately helped.

01:18Before the landslides, we were instructed by the PSWDO

01:25to cover all casualties so that we can provide 10,000 as help.

01:32It's a small amount but I know it's a big help to them.

01:37Albay is now focusing on the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan

01:42for the needs of the residents affected by the floods.

01:46Our Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan is what we are building

01:51to provide to the national government

01:54for the needs that we cannot provide.

01:56But we can continue to provide immediate needs up to now.

02:02I would like to thank the DSWD

02:05because they continue to provide food packs

02:08even though some are no longer in the evacuation center.

02:12But I know that they still need such help.

02:16So let's not worry because the Provincial Government of Albay,

02:20the LGUs, and especially the National Government are here.

02:25The schools in the province are now back to face-to-face classes.
