00:00The Bureau of Internal Revenue, or BIR, and the Anti-Money Laundering Council, or AMLAC,

00:05have solidified their partnership to strengthen their efforts in combating tax evasion

00:10and money laundering. BIR Commissioner Romeo Lamaghi Jr. emphasized the increasing sophistication

00:18of tax evasion ways used by individuals and businesses to avoid paying taxes and conceal

00:24illicit wealth. He added the collaboration between the BIR and the AMLAC will facilitate

00:30future probes into tax evasion and money laundering.
