00:00Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 21
00:03The most brief summary of Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 21 is that
00:08Allah, the Lord of Glory, has stated in the beginning of the Surah that
00:19there should be two basic conditions for the preacher and the preacher of faith and Islam.
00:26And those two conditions should be taken care of.
00:30Number one, recitation of the Holy Quran and number two, Salah.
00:34What is meant by recitation of the Holy Quran?
00:37Reading the words of the Holy Quran, understanding its meaning and translation,
00:42and Salah.
00:43Through Salah, one can be influenced by the recitation of the Holy Quran.
00:51For example, Allah has stated in one place,
00:53Arabic
00:57That is, waking up at night is a means of influencing one's speech during the day.
01:03So when we invite people to faith, how will we influence them?
01:07How will we bring in spirit and spiritual power?
01:10By prostrating, by Salah, by kneeling before Allah, and by washing our clothes.
01:16Allah, the Lord of Glory, has stated in the beginning of the Surah
01:19that there should be two basic conditions for the preacher and the preacher of faith.
01:23After this, Allah, the Lord of Glory, should not give in to difficulties.
01:27Arabic
01:31We open new ways for those who try in our way.
01:35We open new ways for them.
01:37That is, trying is a condition.
01:39Try on your own, then Allah's help will come.
01:42You do what is in your power.
01:46Allah will do what is in the power of Allah.
01:48And everything is in the power of Allah.
01:50This is how Surah Rum starts.
01:53Why is Surah Rum called Surah Rum?
01:57Allah, the Lord of Glory, had prophesied the victory of the Romans.
02:02And the most brief background of this Surah is that
02:07there were two powers in the world at that time.
02:10One was called the superpower in the world,
02:13that was Rome and the other was Iran.
02:16The Roman emperor was called Caesar,
02:19and the Iranian emperor was called Cicero.
02:22The battle of Persia and Rome,
02:25and the cold and hot war between them,
02:28was very famous in the world.
02:30The polytheists of Mecca were with the Persians of Iran.
02:33Because the Persians of Iran were not scholars,
02:36they were fire-worshippers, and they worshipped the sun and fire.
02:40So the polytheists of Mecca were with them.
02:42As soon as the Iranians conquered a city,
02:45the polytheists of Mecca were very happy.
02:48Because their interest was with them, their sympathy was with them.
02:52And the Muslims were mentally with the Romans,
02:55that they were Christians and the people of the book.
02:58When this Surah was revealed at that time,
03:01Allah, the Lord of Glory, said two prophecies.
03:04One prophecy said that in a few years,
03:07the Romans will overcome the people of Iran.
03:11The other prophecy said that Allah will help the Muslims.
03:14When this prophecy was revealed,
03:17the circumstances were not in accordance with it.
03:20The circumstances were not in accordance with it.
03:23Therefore, a leader of the polytheists,
03:26Ubayy ibn Khalq, and Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq,
03:29were given the condition of 100 camels.
03:32That if within 9 years,
03:35the Romans overcome the people of Iran,
03:38Ubayy ibn Khalq will give 100 camels.
03:41Otherwise, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq will give 100 camels.
03:44Here it is clear that this is the beginning of the time
03:47when it was not forbidden to set conditions.
03:50The prohibition of setting conditions had not yet been revealed.
03:53Within exactly 7 years of the revelation of this Surah,
03:56Allah, the Lord of Glory, said
03:59that Allah, the Lord of Glory,
04:02has given victory to the people of Rome.
04:06And the Caesar of Rome attacked Cicero
04:09and his throne was overturned.
04:12And then Caesar was conquered.
04:15Ubayy ibn Khalq was now dead.
04:18His sons had given 100 camels to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq
04:21while fulfilling the conditions.
04:24But now the prohibition had been revealed.
04:27Now the prohibition of setting conditions
04:30and taking and giving money on it
04:33had been given to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq
04:36to give 100 camels as charity.
04:39So Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq gave those 100 camels as charity.
04:42This is the summary of the first verse of Surah Rum.
04:45Then Allah, the Lord of Glory,
04:48mentioned the signs of the power of God.

06:22He used to pay attention to Allah. He used to recite the Qur'an.
06:27Nadr ibn Harith was a person who used to travel to different countries.
06:34He was one of the Mushrikeen.
06:35He used to travel to different countries.
06:38He used to bring Nawil from there.
06:39A few letters and books.
06:41And he used to come and say, I seek refuge with Allah,
06:43that Prophet Muhammad, may Allah be pleased with him,
06:45tells you the stories of the people of Aad, the people of Samud, the people of Lut, the people of Shu'aib,
06:49and the people of Saleh.
06:52I will tell you new stories.
06:54Some of the people of Hadith are those who come and narrate the tales of the kings.
07:04So Allah, the Lord of Glory, has mentioned the painful punishment for such a person.
07:08After this, Allah said,
07:09We have given Luqman al-Hikmah. We are grateful to Allah.
07:12He mentioned Prophet Luqman, may Allah be pleased with him,
07:15what advices he gave to his son.
07:18Every one of us should write those advices on our hearts.
07:22Do not associate partners with Allah.
07:24And always have faith in the knowledge of Allah, the Lord of Glory.
07:27Follow your Salah.
07:29Give the command of goodness.
07:31Stop doing bad things.
07:32Never come in front of people with a sour face.
07:36Show good morals.
07:38And never walk on the ground with arrogance.
07:41Always adopt a moderate attitude.
07:43Keep your voice low in front of people.
07:46Allah, the Lord of Glory, has mentioned the advices of Prophet Luqman here.
07:50After this,
07:51There are five things that only Allah has knowledge of.
08:05These are the five things that only Allah has knowledge of.
08:07When will Qiyamah be established?
08:09Only Allah has knowledge of it.
08:11When will it rain?
08:12When will it not rain?
08:14Only Allah has knowledge of it.
08:18What is in the womb of a mother?
08:20What is her destiny?
08:22What will she do?
08:24Only Allah has knowledge of all these things.
08:26What will a person earn in the future?
08:28And where will his death come?
08:30These five things are called Mafatihul Ghayb.
08:32Only Allah, the Lord of Glory, has knowledge of it.
08:35After this,
08:36Allah has mentioned Surah Sajdah.
08:38It is beginning.
08:40Sajdah means prostration.
08:42It is mentioned in Surah Sajdah.
08:44Allah has mentioned the creation of the heavens and the earth here.
08:53There should be no doubt in the Torah.
08:55Similarly, there should be no doubt in the Quran.
08:57Allah has mentioned this.
08:59After this, there are two conditions for the beginning.
09:01One should be perfect in knowledge.
09:03The other should be perfect in practice.
09:05Meaning, the mention of patience is perfect in practice.
09:09Along with this,
09:11one should be perfect in research and knowledge.
09:13Only then can a person become a pioneer.
09:17Allah has mentioned these two conditions.
09:19Knowledge and patience.
09:21After this, Allah, the Lord of Glory,
09:23has mentioned Surah Ahzab.
09:25This is a Madri Surah.
09:27In the beginning,
09:29it mentions the son of Leh-Palak.
09:31It mentions the battle of Ahzab.
09:33It mentions the battle of Bani Quraizah.
09:35It mentions the wives of Mutaharaat,
09:37Actually, there were three things that were famous in Arabia.
09:39Number one, when a person was very intelligent,
09:41it was said that he had two hearts.
09:43It was said,
09:45Allah did not create two hearts for any person.
09:47This was refuted.
09:49Secondly, if someone said to his wife,
09:51that you are like the back of my mother,
09:53then he would consider his wife
09:55to be forbidden forever.
09:57Allah also refuted this.
09:59And thirdly,
10:01Leh-Palak was considered to be a true heir.
10:03Allah, the Lord of Glory,
10:06also refuted his true inheritance.
10:08After this, Allah mentioned the battle of Ahzab,
10:10the battle of Khandaq.
10:20Actually, from here to verse number 27,
10:22the battle of Ahzab was mentioned.
10:24And its most brief background is that
10:26after the failure in Uhud and Badr,
10:28these polytheists prepared an army of 12,000
10:30and came to attack Medina.
10:32According to the opinion of Hazrat Salman Farsi,
10:34the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
10:36prepared a Khandaq outside Medina.
10:38For a month, the polytheists besieged Medina.
10:40Then Allah, the Lord of Glory,
10:42sent a strong storm to drive them away.
10:44On the other hand,
10:46the Jews from Medina,
10:48the Quraizah,
10:50repeatedly broke their covenant.
10:52Because of this,
10:54after the Khandaq was broken,
10:56the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
10:58and the Muslims besieged Medina.
11:01In addition to this,
11:03the Prophet killed their men
11:05and enslaved their young children and women.
11:07In the end,
11:09the wives of the holy men
11:11demanded an increase in their income.
11:13The demand was due to
11:15the shortage of income
11:17which was a reasonable demand.
11:19But Allah, the Lord of Glory,
11:21did not like it
11:23because the personality
11:25and personality of the Prophet,
11:27the wives of the Prophet,
11:29said that their level
11:31and rank
11:33is very high.
11:35Here, Allah, the Lord of Glory,
11:37stated in the Ayat-e-Takheer
11:39that if you want the world,
11:41then come,
11:43I will give you the wealth of the world
11:45and if you want to be with me,
11:47then leave the demand
11:49for the wealth of this world.
11:51Therefore, peace and blessings be upon
11:53our mothers and the wives of the holy men.
11:55They said that we do not want
11:58the wealth of this world.
12:00We only want the companionship
12:02of the Prophet,
12:04and that is the reason
12:06for the success of the world
12:08and the hereafter.
12:10May Allah enable us
12:12to adopt the principles
12:14of the Qur'an.
12:16May we look at the world
12:18and turn to the hereafter.
