IDF Drone Strike Kills 7 in West Bank, Including Hamas Member
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a drone strike on Monday night targeting a terror cell in the Nur Shams camp near Tulkarem in the West Bank. According to the Palestinian Authority's health ministry, five people were killed in the strike.

Target: A Command Center of Local Terror Operatives
The IDF's operation targeted what they described as a command room used by local terror operatives. Although the military has not yet provided extensive details, the strike is seen as part of a broader strategy to neutralize terrorist threats in the region.

Jibril Jibril Among the Dead
One of the individuals reported killed in the strike was Jibril Jibril, a known member of Hamas. Jibril had been previously released by Israel in a controversial deal with the Gaza-based terror group in November. His criminal history includes throwing explosive devices, stone-throwing, and active membership in Hamas.

Increased IDF Airstrikes in the West Bank
This latest strike is part of a larger pattern of IDF activity in the West Bank. Since a large-scale Hamas-led attack nearly a year ago, the IDF has ramped up its airstrikes, conducting over 60 operations using drones, attack helicopters, and fighter jets.

Additional Military Actions
In another incident on Monday night, IDF troops carried out extensive searches around the Tapuach Junction following reports of a suspected kidnapping. However, the military later confirmed that no kidnapping had occurred.

Recent Escalation in West Bank Violence
This drone strike comes on the heels of several violent incidents in the West Bank. One such attack involved a car-ramming near the Ariel settlement, which left an Israeli soldier lightly wounded. The two Palestinian attackers involved were shot and killed by IDF forces.

Casualties on Both Sides
The ongoing conflict has led to significant casualties on both sides. The Palestinian Authority's health ministry reports that over 630 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 7. The IDF maintains that most of these individuals were armed militants, rioters, or terrorists. On the Israeli side, 27 people, including security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank during the same period. Additionally, five members of the Israeli security forces have died in clashes with terror operatives in the West Bank.
