00:00The Israel Defense Forces, IDEF, conducted a drone strike on Monday night targeting a terror cell in the Nir Shams camp near Tulkarem in the West Bank.
00:09According to the Palestinian Authority's health ministry, five people were killed in the strike.
00:15The IDEF reported that the strike was aimed at a command center used by local terror operatives, though specific details were not immediately provided.
00:24Palestinian media identified one of the deceased as Jabril Jabril, a Hamas member who had been released by Israel in a previous exchange deal with the Gaza-based terror group in November.
00:36Jabril had been imprisoned for activities including throwing explosive devices, stone-throwing, and being a member of Hamas.
00:44Since the large-scale Hamas-led attack nearly a year ago, the IDEF has carried out more than 60 airstrikes in the West Bank, employing drones, attack helicopters, and fighter jets.
00:55Additionally, on Monday night, IDEF troops conducted searches around Tapiwak Junction following reports of a suspected kidnapping, which the military later confirmed did not occur.
01:07These incidents followed a series of attacks in the West Bank, including a car ramming near the aerial settlement that left an Israeli soldier lightly wounded.
01:16The two Palestinian attackers in the vehicle were shot and killed.
01:20According to the Palestinian Authority's health ministry, more than 630 Palestinians in the West Bank have been killed since October 7.
01:29The IDEF states that most of these individuals were either armed militants engaged in firefights, rioters clashing with troops, or terrorists carrying out attacks.
01:40During the same period, 27 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank,
01:49with another five members of the security forces losing their lives in clashes with terror operatives in the West Bank.
