Glasgow acts at the Edinburgh Fringe

Here’s a guide to some Glaswegians bringing performances to the Edinburgh Fringe.

00:00This year's Edinburgh Fringe is well underway, here are some shows created by Glaswegian still

00:04running. The Southside's very own Paul Black is bringing his brand new show All Sorts to the

00:09Gilded Bloom patter house, blending sketches and stand-up with characters old and new. Paul built

00:14his thriving comedic career from the popularity of his online videos which have reached an audience

00:20of over half a billion people worldwide. He has also been nominated for Sir Billy Connolly's

00:24Spirit of Glasgow award. The show is running until the 25th of August. Then there's Chatterbox

00:29where comedian and playwright Lumna Kerr examines the impact of labels given to children and how

00:34they persist in adulthood. Drawing from her own experience, as a Pakistani girl Kerr entered her

00:39primary school in Glasgow in the 1970s and was called stupid because she didn't speak English.

00:44And finally For the Love of Shane McGowan, a tribute to the late Polk's frontman by Glaswegian

00:48singer-songwriter and producer John McLaughlin. Endorsed by McGowan's wife Victoria Clarke,

00:54John performs classic songs while sharing fond memories of their time writing and recording

00:58together.
