00:00I am three five and a half. You can't forget the half.
00:03The thing that I love about dancing is it's a way of expression.
00:07You know, just being myself.
00:09So today I'm gonna be going to the adult hip-hop class. People may doubt my ability to dance, but
00:16I'm gonna show em.
00:20I started hip-hop dancing in 2017.
00:23There are some people who definitely underestimate me because of my height.
00:30And then to see me, like, bust out and perform, it is a wild moment.
00:34Because I was smaller, my moves had to be two times bigger in order for people to see me.
00:39I've been dancing all my life. I've been in since I was three years old.
00:44They see me and they would think that maybe she can't dance because I'm small.
00:48So yes, I am actually three five and a half. You can't forget the half because, I mean, it's very important.
00:54Oh, look at that pretty girl. Oh, no.
00:57I actually don't have a type of dwarfism.
01:01It's very rare, I guess you could say.
01:05My stature definitely can cause pain.
01:08I was told to have surgery because I have spinal bifida. I have scoliosis, which is curved spine.
01:16I wore a back brace, but I didn't wear it for too long. When I was younger, I was doing pageants.
01:21I was doing dance. I was doing cheerleading. I had no time for that.
01:24And that was another reason why I didn't get surgery.
01:26And now, 20 some years later, I'm paying for it.
01:29But oh well.
01:31Okay, y'all, what's up? It's your girl Keishalina coming to you live right now.
01:35There are a lot of times where I'm walking in the mall.
01:38And of course, people gonna look because, I mean, hey, it's a little person.
01:42It's not like an everyday thing that you see little people.
01:46Oh, oh.
01:48Oh, my girlfriend!
01:50Now, it kind of doesn't affect me because now when I catch people looking,
01:54I feel like they're looking because they're trying to figure out if I'm the famous girl from social media.
01:59Social media has played a big part in my life.
02:02I've gotten so many opportunities. I've met so many celebrities.
02:05I do promos for people, like just make dance videos and get paid to do that
02:10because a lot of people, they just like seeing me dance.
02:13So today I'm going to be going to the studio over at Fusion Force.
02:17It's actually where I work as well.
02:18I'm going to be going to the adult hip hop class.
02:22There are some times where I do feel limited in any dance that I do.
02:28I definitely have aches in my back, my knees.
02:33When I'm dancing, if I'm dancing for too long, my knees, my legs hurt.
02:39Hit this, kind of rebound.
02:41Boom.
02:42Go around like this.
02:44Seven, eight.
02:45Boom, boom, boom.
02:47Boom, pop, pop, pop.
02:49Pop, pop, pop.
02:50So we go from the top.
02:52Five, six, seven, eight.
02:57I've surprised many people with my hip hop dancing, but definitely about to surprise them again.
03:04Pop, pop, pop.
03:06Pop, pop, pop.
03:07People may doubt my ability to dance, but I'm going to show them.
03:12Pop, pop, pop.
03:13And every time I've seen her, she's gotten better and just keeps growing and keeps growing.
03:17Even with the challenges she has, it's like you can't even tell.
03:20So she's an amazing dancer.
03:24The thing that I love about dancing is it's a way of expression,
03:27whether it's through emotion, like heavy hitting, just being myself.
03:32I definitely think I stand out, not just because of my stature, but the way I dance.
03:41Class was good.
03:42Very energetic, very full out.
03:46I just want to be able to showcase my talents.
03:50Even if it isn't perfect, I still want other people to look at me and say,
03:54if she can do it, I can do it too.
03:56And it doesn't have to be just little people, it can be anybody.
