Incredible Dancer Is Shredding Stereotypes

She's not here to fit in. She's here to own the dance floor — and she doesn't care what a dancer is "supposed" to look like.

00:00All the little girls in preschool were dancing and I wanted to be like them.

00:04I wanted to fit in really bad, which now I'm trying to learn that you don't always have to fit in.

00:15I do ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary.

00:25So this is all of my costumes.

00:31Do you ever get bullied?

00:33Yeah, I got bullied a lot when I was younger.

00:38I get a lot of hate comments on Instagram, which I usually just leave them so they don't know that they get to me.

00:49Keep dancing, don't let people get in your way.

00:51There's going to be mean people.

00:53You just need to ignore them because if they don't like you, then that's their problem, it shouldn't be yours.

01:07Stereotypes are made to be broken, I think.

01:10So if it's what you love, you should do it no matter what.
