00:00It has been incredible vibes here at Sydney Airport this morning, some massive excitement
00:07going out for the returning athletes coming back from Australia's most successful Olympic
00:12Games yet.
00:13There was lots of gold, silver and bronze medals on display and all the athletes had
00:18massive smiles on their faces as they disembarked this flight.
00:22Family, friends, visiting dignitaries and the media are all here to welcome them and
00:28have a chat and give them a congratulations for their efforts.
00:32We got the chance to speak to some of the swimmers just a little bit earlier.
00:35We just got to sit on a flight together for 24 hours, loving each other's company but
00:41it's been so incredible being able to travel with Meg, we've done juniors together, we
00:46did nippers growing up together, so to have her by my side on this journey was so special.
00:50And how would you summarise this Olympics in a couple of words, in one word?
00:54Crazy.
00:55It's my first Olympics so I think for me it's completely different to Meg and Meg's
00:59been there before so she can tell you.
01:01I mean I'd probably say wholesome, I mean I did not expect like the world to get around
01:05it like this, everyone following along at home and I think just seeing that support
01:10and everything has been so incredible and I think that's one of the reasons we did so
01:13well is because we felt everyone lifting around us.
01:16All of those athletes receiving a very, very warm welcome here at Sydney today.
01:21Prime Minister congratulating them and hoping they will get a nice rest after what has been
01:27an incredible two weeks for Australia.
