Leeds Rhinos coach Brad Arthur reveals some surprise injury news ahead of Saturday's Magic Weekend date with Warrington Wolves at Elland Road.

00:00Just checking on, there's no major injuries from Saturday, right?

00:08Boss was okay when he came in?

00:10Yeah, he was getting a few cramps and without being disrespectful to the opposition,

00:16the game, because it was only six, seven minutes ago, the game was in the ballot,

00:19and it was done.

00:21And it was a good opportunity to get Ben out there as well.

00:25We're trying to work out how do we get him on, so that sort of opened that up for us.

00:29Has Ash had his operation yet?

00:31No, so he's still going to try for this week, so we'll see how we go on Wednesday.

00:36We can't get him in for another week or two, so he's just going to take it a week at a time and see how he goes.

00:41Is that something he's been managing for a while? It's the rest, isn't it?

00:44Yeah.

00:46And Mick's obviously still out with his ribs.

00:48Yeah, so he had another scan today.

00:50I don't know what we're going to get out of another scan today, but he's a good couple of weeks.

00:55He's pretty banged up.

00:57What's your policy on changing a winning team?

01:00Would it be quite difficult to make changes to it after the play like they did on Saturday?

01:07I don't have a policy on it.

01:09I'm just trying each week.

01:11Once they tell me who's available and I pick the best 17 that I think can do the job that week and win,

01:15that's what it will be again this week.

01:17So it's a sort of horses-for-horses type approach?

01:20Yeah.

01:22When other guys get the opportunity to come in, they've got to come in and do their job.

01:27I'm sure they know their place in the squad as well.

01:31Cameron's back, he'll come straight in.

01:37Dono's close as well.

01:39He's had a bit of a trot today.

01:41He's done his job for us the last couple of weeks while he's been in there.

01:45If he's right, he'll come back in there somewhere too.

01:49What was the problem?

01:51He had a tackle and he got banged up in his ankle.

01:55He had some blood on his knee.

01:57We just didn't settle him for him.

02:00You mentioned you should come straight back in.

02:03Has Jared given you something to think about for the 13-year-old?

02:06He's done a good job, hasn't he?

02:08Everyone's got a different role of playing the team.

02:11I really like Jared.

02:13He's the sort of person when you bring him on, it saves you an interchange.

02:19When he comes on, he can play the game out for you.

02:21He can go to hook-o, he can give Andy a rest.

02:28Or he can just go straight to 13, depending on what we need.

02:31He's got that bit of lead speed around the ruck.

02:34He can just add a bit of energy and speed up the play of the ball.

02:40In terms of performance this week, like you said,

02:44at the press conference, it's all about building on last week, isn't it?

02:48Making sure it's not a run-off.

02:50I think each week we've got down our stats.

02:55I think they're pretty well-equipped to know what a good start for us looks like.

03:00I think we're doing that okay at the moment.

03:02There's parts of the game where we just fall into mismanaging it a little bit.

03:07But at least this week, the weekend before,

03:10when we turned over some balls cheaply,

03:13I would have switched it, clicked the switch,

03:16and just focused on that one set at a time.

03:19Instead of focusing on the error that we made and just defend the set of six.

03:23Get the ball back and try and get back into the swing of things.

03:25We're getting better at managing the game.

03:28There's still some areas at the last ten minutes of the game

03:32where we turned over the ball, gave away a penalty,

03:34turned over the ball until we gifted them a try.

03:38It's a big opportunity for some guys around the side.
