A huge fire broke out at a scrapyard in Otley, sending plumes of black smoke above the town.

The blaze, that was reported shortly after 3.30pm on August 12, happened at a site on Bradford Road.

Firefighters from five stations across the region rushed to the scene to battle flames using foam and large jets.

Residents were urged to keep their doors and windows closed as thick smoke continued to billow across the sky.
