00:00I know that this movie and this book deals with a lot of heavy topics and I
00:04just wanted to call out a monologue that you say at the end of the movie.
00:07It was really beautifully done. How challenging was it to work through that scene?
00:11That's a big challenge. I think it's a big challenge to
00:15play someone who has received devastating news or
00:20like just a heartbreaking story, a life-changing story.
00:23You know, this character, I don't want to do any spoils, spoils, spoils,
00:27spoils, right? That's what everybody always says. I don't want to do spoils so
00:31I won't do spoils. But yeah, I think I really wanted to be able to show that my
00:38character Alyssa is okay with showing heartbreak and showing that she's sad
00:45without putting shame back onto Blake's character Lily and I think that's like a
00:51really hard line to walk but I felt proud of it at the end of the day. I felt that
00:57we were both able to show two women who were handling many things at once and
01:01remaining bonded, remaining strong, yeah.
01:05I know your character and Blake's character build such an instant bond
01:09from the beginning. How were you able to build off of that off-screen and was
01:13there anything that kind of, you had any bonding activities off-screen to kind of
01:17build that?
01:18I think it was one of those lucky situations where you're cast as
01:22people who hopefully have this instant chemistry because of course Alyssa walks
01:26into Lily's flower shop and like asks for a job right then but I feel that in our
01:32own way Blake and I had that experience that we were just kind of curious about
01:37each other and Blake is really warm. She really asks a lot of beautiful questions.
01:43She's very caring and willing to share and for me that's kind of like
01:50it's all I like. You know, it's like my favorite thing. It's like I just really
01:53like that and I'm very chatty and I felt like we fell right into a chatty onset
01:58vibe that then became deep and I'm really grateful for our friendship, yeah.
