00:00AMBULANCE VICTORIA SAYS ANOTHER EMPLOYEE RAISED IT DIRECTLY WITH THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE EARLY
00:07LAST YEAR, AND THE MATTER WAS THEN IMMEDIATELY REFERRED TO THE STATE'S ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION.
00:13THEY SENT IT BACK TO AMBULANCE VICTORIA FOR A FULL INTERNAL INVESTIGATION, WHICH IS STILL
00:18UNDERWAY NOW.
00:19THE ABC UNDERSTANDS THOSE SIX EMPLOYEES WHO WERE SUSPENDED ARE FROM THE PAYROLL DEPARTMENT,
00:25and the allegations are around overtime that was never actually worked, as well as people
00:31not logging onto their work computers.
00:34Victoria's Shadow Health Minister, Georgie Crozier, has called the claims staggering,
00:39and she says if those allegations are proven, it's Victorian taxpayers who are being ripped
00:44off and frontline paramedics who are having to pay the price for it.
00:49Now we understand this situation is far from over, because when that investigation is complete,
00:54the matter could be referred to Victoria Police for criminal inquiries.
