00:05Democrats to unite behind the president against Donald Trump, except you're seeing more defections,
00:10including some more this morning. And last time before he took off, I believe it was 18 House
00:15Democrats, maybe more now. Does the campaign, does the president believe that every House Democrat
00:22or Senate Democrat or a celebrity that is defecting from his campaign is making it more
00:32likely that Donald Trump wins in November? Well, listen, I think, again, it's important to state,
00:38reiterate the facts, right, which is what the president has said repeatedly. He is in this race
00:42to win it. He is the Democratic nominee. And we are going to defeat Donald Trump in November
00:47because Democrats are going to become, are going to be united in taking on the threat
00:52posed by Donald Trump in the Project 2025 agenda. Democratic voters understand that.
00:57That's why you've seen throughout the polling after the debate, there's been no fundamental
01:01shift in this race. We continue to, we are, this is going to be a very close, competitive race.
01:07That is what the Marist poll has showed. That's what all the polling has showed since the debate.
01:11And so what this campaign and this president understands right now is that we're going to
01:14continue to go out and put in the work. The president, as he did last night during the
01:19NATO press conference, was not only leading on the world stage, but was demonstrating that he is
01:23the best person to continue to lead this country right now, but is the best person to take on
01:27Donald Trump and defeat him at the ballot box as he did in 2020. So as we hit the stump today
01:33in Detroit, as the president hits the stump next week in Texas and Nevada across the country,
01:38we're going to continue to present a clear choice to the American people between the president
01:43who's fighting every single day for them and Donald Trump, who poses a fundamental threat
01:48to the American people. His project 2025 agenda would gut checks and balances, allow him to rule
01:53as a dictator on day one, as he promises to do out on the stump every single day would allow
01:57him to ban abortion without Congress. And so that is what the president is laser focused on
02:01communicating to the democratic, to democratic voters and voters across the country who understand
02:06the fundamental stakes of this election. The president understands that there's still some
02:10anxiety on the Hill. I think we all understand that. And that's why he's laser focused on
02:13demonstrating that he is the best person to take on Donald Trump and defeat him in November. And
02:19that's what this campaign is going to remain focused on over the course of the summer.
