00:00Could you introduce yourself please? I'm Libby Alexander and I'm from Soska, Save
00:05Our South Coast Alives. And tell us a little bit more about why we're here
00:09today. We're here because Southern Water wants to recycle their Bud's Farm sewage
00:15into our drinking water and they're going to be using the Portsmouth Water
00:21Reservoir, Thanet Reservoir, for these purposes which means that they have
00:26the possibility of completely polluting our spring-fed Bedminster Springs
00:32chalk streams into the reservoir. The whole point about the reservoir was that
00:36it was going to be clean and pure for our drinking water but this is not now
00:40going to be the case. So tell us a bit more about how you feel these issues
00:47could be either stopped or perhaps mitigated. What can we do? You can contact
00:52Soska because there is a consultation paper out from Southern Water and we are
00:57fighting this but we have only until the 23rd of July to do so. So if you'd be
01:02good enough, if you're very interested in this, to contact at soska.org.uk
01:09and we will give you all the information. It's a very difficult, complicated
01:13situation and Southern Water are making sure that we don't know about it.
01:17Okay, well thank you for bringing it to our attention and good luck with with
01:22your work to stop this. Thank you.
