00:00It
00:25is the time of roses flourishing when we meet Audrey and her husband Thierry. It's
00:31all handicraft as for harvesting the sensitive blossoms there are no machines existing. And
00:39so the couple harvests hour by hour the base materials for everything what smells good
00:46and tastes well.
01:16In front of her small witch's kitchen Audrey takes the pistil from each blossom which is
01:40the inner part hindering the ongoing process. The petals will be cooked and the essence
01:46of the fragrance is carrier and its taste is separated from the water and being distilled
01:51in the appliance you can see in the background. That creates a master batch which is being
01:57added to various products. Audrey produces sweets for the kids, rose water for the adults
02:03and jam for the whole family. The essence made from rose blossom creates a distinct
02:09fine taste. Audrey tells us that the products and their production process has got a long
02:17family tradition both in her own family as well as the other one from her husband. And
02:23their daughter will possibly continue to carry on when it's the time for her.
