00:00I've got a long list of thank yous, as is right.

00:03So I'd first like to thank Chris, the returning officer,

00:07who's very ably stepped into this role, I think,

00:09and all of you here tonight, account staff.

00:13I know it's a very difficult job,

00:14but you've really worked around the clock today

00:16to make sure that people can have their say safely

00:18and that we've got an accurate result.

00:21I'd like to thank the police for ensuring

00:22that we have a peaceful election campaign.

00:25I would like to pay tribute to my four fellow candidates.

00:28I think we've run a very fair and clean campaign,

00:31which let voters make up their own minds in this election.

00:35I would particularly like to pay tribute to Amanda.

00:38Nine years is a very long time to do a job as intensive

00:42and all-consuming as being a member of Parliament.
