00:00This is Britain-based Gravity Industries jet suit piloted by founder Richard
00:09Browning, and recently he and his real-life Iron Man flight suit took to
00:12the skies in training exercises with Britain's Royal Marines. Gravity
00:16Industries spent three days performing exercises with the military
00:19organization, in this video showing the culmination of those drills. This is an
00:23operation where Navy Marines are training fast boarding exercises on the
00:27water. The jet suit pilot is able to fly ahead of the boats and attach a ladder
00:30on the side of the vessel, allowing the Marines to easily make their way onto it.
00:34A task which would otherwise require a helicopter and a technique called fast
00:38roping, where personnel have to rappel down a rope one at a time, a dangerous
00:42maneuver during real-world scenarios. A spokesperson for Gravity Industries had
00:46this to say about the jet suits particular set of skills. The vision with
00:49the jet suit is to provide extremely rapid access to any part of the target
00:53vessel, instantly freeing up hands to bear a weapon and even retaining the
00:56capability to relocate on target or self-exfiltrate, and if nothing else it's
01:01just plain awesome.
