00:00The 30th anniversary of the foundation of the 1st Guards Brigade of the HWA Ante Bruno Bušić was celebrated with a ceremonial academy in the Vojvodina district.

00:09The history of this brigade began long before the foundation of the 1st Guards Brigade, at the beginning of 1992,

00:16with the foundation of the first professional Croatian formation in the Croatian community of Herceg Bosnia.

00:21Their war path has always been in the service of the Croatian people.

00:24War is the path that every Bušić proudly remembers.

00:28Honorable and honest, in truth.

00:30We went without a fig in our pockets and contributed to the civil war,

00:35only by the sacrifice of 106 killed and only by the sacrifice of 500 wounded,

00:39and over 5,000 members went to the rescue.

00:42We can say with pride what we were.

00:45Our war commanders, General Rosso, the first war commander,

00:49Slavko Grubišić, the second war commander,

00:52the third war commander, Anton Luborić, the late Slavko Grubišić,

00:56and then comes General Željko Glasnović.

00:58These are our war commanders, who we must not forget.

01:02They were with us, we were with them.

01:04As I said, there are no generals from the military,

01:09from the military unit, the unit of destiny, the unit of water, the unit of satiny, the unit of battle.

01:12And that's how we got along, but in truth we were honorable and honest,

01:16and we are not ashamed of that.

01:18We are not ashamed to say that we were proud in the war and peace.

01:22In the war, Bušić left a great mark on all the battlefields

01:26where the boots of Bušić's members were stained.

01:29Support to the Mostar battlefield, support to the Uskopaj battlefield,

01:33Žepačko battlefield, where we did not have a Žepačko battlefield.

01:36We founded a unit in 1992.

01:38I participated as an instructor up there in 1992.

01:41We founded a unit that defended Žepče, the battle of Andrija Tadić.

01:44Today, that battle of Andrija Tadić is rarely mentioned,

01:47but it was one of the main ones in the defense of Žepče.

01:50And we must not forget that.

01:52Komušan battlefield, Maglaj battlefield, Žepačko battlefield,

01:55Uskopaj battlefield, Mostar battlefield, Livan battlefield, Kupreško,

01:59and all other battlefields that took part in the civil war,

02:03were in Bušić's hands.

02:06And such a great sacrifice on all the battlefields

02:09was paid with 106 lives of Croatian war heroes.

02:12Today is an opportunity to first remember the dead of my comrades.

02:18I was a member of the 3rd Guards Brigade.

02:21We were together on these fields.

02:23We pay tribute to them, we remember them,

02:26and we refuse to forget their names.

02:29So, from year to year, we remember them,

02:32only to this day.

02:34So, it is our duty, their comrades, their friends,

02:38to remember the dead, not only today,

02:41but throughout the year.

02:44If it were not for them,

02:47today we would not be standing here,

02:50in the area of Livan.

02:53And in Livan, in addition to the Holy Academy,

02:56the remains of the foundation of the 1st Guards Brigade,

02:59HBA Ante Bruno Bušić,

03:01former and current Bušić,

03:03were marked by the laying of wreaths and the burning of candles

03:06and the Holy Mass was held in the district of Vojvodina.
