I indicated that we are going to commence the national classification of our tails and
00:04
there are a number of parameters that we are going to use.
00:06
Of course, one of them is the East Africa classification criteria, which was approved
00:12
by the East African countries as a standard that will be followed.
00:16
Secondly, the Tourism Regulatory Authority, of course, has the criteria that have been
00:23
developed and designed for that particular classification, which will involve the particular
00:30
criteria that has been designed by the Tourism Regulatory Authority.
00:34
And this classification is very important because it gives the hotels a mark of quality,
00:39
it gives the assurance, and it also gives them to stick to the particular standards
00:44
that have been given.
00:45
So, this is a very important exercise and we are going to give it the seriousness that
00:49
it deserves.
00:50
As a government, we know that the number of tourists from Zambia and Kenya has increased.
01:01
And there are a number of things that we have prepared, that we have put in place.
01:06
I don't want to go into all the rules, but first, of course, I said that it is a matter
01:11
of marketing, or trying to do one thing with the county governments and the Kenya Tourism
01:18
Board, to show that we have those things, that you know we have those good things
01:24
in Kenya.
01:25
Even safari, even wild animals, beach, and other things like our tamarins, which are
01:30
good.
01:31
We are working together to show that God has known those things that we have.
01:37
The issues that we have been discussing for many years, we are thankful that many of
01:41
them are still being addressed.
01:43
So, first of all, the issues that will be addressed in the future, first is to open
01:50
new routes.
01:51
The first one is Barabara.
01:53
Now, Barabara of Dongokundu, it's almost complete.
01:57
That will be opened in the future, especially in Kuala and also in Mombasa, or North Coast.
02:06
Also, Barabara, Wanja Wandege, Wakunda, Wadiani.
02:13
Also, there are other places that can be opened in Kuala.
02:19
It is still under development.
02:21
Another thing is the products that we are still looking for or bringing to the Kuala
02:27
County.
02:28
The first product that we are still looking for is Majimoto.
02:35
Majimoto is in the process, and soon it will enter the market.
02:40
Soon, it will be in Nyango.
02:42
Nyango is where we find the Maasai.
02:45
We are building a cultural center in Nyango.
02:48
Also, the children can go from here to Nyango, and when they cross the border, they will
02:53
also meet the animals there.
02:55
So, these are attraction centers that we are still building.
