00:11The licence restrictions for the Golden Beam were to ensure that the pub was food-led and

00:15had more seated drinking rather than standing, but a spokesman has said it's having to

00:20turn away a large number of people which could be better accommodated in the pub as it is

00:26a large venue with CCTV and extensive toilet facilities.

00:31At a recent meeting, local residents raised concerns about having an additional pub on

00:36the Otley Run as they felt it may exacerbate anti-social issues connected to the crawl,

00:42with some pub users concerned that the community feel of the venue may be lost.

00:47A Headingley and Hyde Park councillor said Wetherspoons are due to discuss the options

00:51and the meeting was left quite open-ended.

00:54The request to change the licence has not yet been formally submitted.
