Govt drawing up guidelines for disposal of solar panels, EV batteries

After conducting a working visit to Westport to see for himself containers filled with electronic waste on Wednesday (June 26), Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad told reporters that guidelines for the disposal of solar panels and electric vehicle (EV) batteries are currently being developed.  He said this is due to concerns over the disposal for such materials that could harm the environment.
