00:17record-setting series debut in August 2022. The series premiere back in 2022 drew nearly
00:2310 million viewers across all platforms in its first night, making it the most-watched
00:28series opener in HBO's history. Season one's first-night average was in the 9 to 9.5 million
00:33range for most episodes. Still, 7.8 million first-night viewers positioned House of the
00:38Dragon for another huge season. HBO and Max are also touting the worldwide impact of House of
00:53the Dragon, saying that streaming service Max had its biggest single day globally since its launch.
00:58Viewing of season one also spiked in the days leading up to the premiere,
01:01drawing 1 million viewers, its highest total in 19 months.
