00:00I'll finish as well. That was very very tense. I mean I imagine there's a
00:13feeling of enormous relief to just get the two points. Yeah good relief. I think
00:19you can almost sort of expect that on a surface like that and an outfield like
00:24that is it's hundred runs can always feel a long way away especially when you
00:28don't get off to the start that you'd like. So it is a massive relief to get
00:34the two points but also for two batters to show us how it's done on a
00:39wicket like that and for the rest of us as a unit to hear about it and take some
00:43lessons from that. Can you explain just why it's so hard to score runs? Well I
00:50mean the outfield is obviously very very slow but the pitch is I mean you know
00:55for a hundred to be competitive it would normally be sort of
00:59unplayable but why is it so hard to score runs? I think from a
01:04fielding point of view you can really squeeze you can be nice and close so
01:07normally when you're hitting it nicely off the bat it sort of beats the
01:11inner ring but I feel like here it doesn't. Obviously the pitch was quite
01:17slow today as well so that makes it even tougher to get it through the ring
01:22and at least get a partnership built so that's probably the reasons why it's
01:27tough. I think if you look at it from a going sideways point of view it's
01:32probably a bit less today actually so that was nice for us as batters to see
01:36and feel but but still really challenging to score and put bowlers
01:40under pressure. We're supposed to be talking about Bangladesh sorry so that's
01:44two points there and that's super eights wrapped up that'd be nice to go
01:50to St Vincent with that. Yeah that would be fantastic yeah that's sort of the
01:54first box that we want to tick but again you look at conditions you look at a
01:59really strong Bangladesh team and it's gonna be it's gonna be a proper
02:04challenge for us so naturally looking forward to it we've luckily had the
02:09privilege of playing two games now on the surface and at this venue so
02:14hopefully it can give us even clearer plans and and we can develop plans from
02:18a batting point of view how to get to a score of maybe about 140 and if we do
02:23bat first and and hopefully then our bowlers can can do the rest. Can I just
02:27ask you about Otniel and Anrich Nokia obviously Anrich had a fairly torrid
02:33IPL and and they were question marks probably just outside the team rather
02:38than inside the team about his form so a word about how he's how dynamic he's
02:44been and also Otniel nobody can score a run against him. Yeah the both of them
02:49have been fantastic you look at Anna maybe the build-up to the World Cup he
02:55would have liked to have done better potentially come with more confidence
02:58but we had him just before his massive injury and he was at that time probably
03:03one of the best bowlers in the world so I don't think that changes I think just
03:07a bit of backing and a bit of game time naturally to get that rust to get that
03:12rust out and then naturally a wicket that that where there's a bit for him to
03:16work with at least helps so the both of them have done really well Otniel is
03:21really clear keeps things really simple and got a got a nice skill set and and
03:26that's what they back so it's great to see it's worked for the two of them not
03:31just the two of them probably the whole whole bowling attack so far but us as a
03:35change room it's great to have a Anrich Nokia sort of firing and full of
03:39confidence and finally for me are you able to follow the tournament in six or
03:45seven countries and different continents different times of the day and or you
03:49just are you gonna wait look at that later and just focus on your own own
03:53stuff yeah each to their own I guess but I'll probably just rest up and and if I
03:59can catch a few overs here and there then potentially watch it but sort of
04:03just makes your analysis in building into game day quite important you get as
04:07much information as you can and see you see sort of what happens from there
04:15hi Aiden how did you guys enjoy the crowd attendance at this venue so far
04:22it's been really cool I didn't probably expect as many people to turn up so it's
04:28been fantastic to see I think there's proof that there's quite a few South
04:32Africans that are living this side now so for them to come out in their numbers
04:36get behind us in games that maybe are a different type of entertaining it's not
04:43your usual boundaries and bull flying everywhere but to turn up back us
04:48ultimately as a as a team and us representing them has been quite cool to
04:52see them pull out in their numbers here at the stadium and besides all the talk
04:56about the pitch how have you what is your impression of this venue as a whole
05:00it's a beautiful venue you you always have to think back and think in February
05:06it was basically under snow I believe and for them to put up a field in a
05:10stadium that looks like this is it's a fantastic effort it all makes sense
05:15while the pitch is playing that way it's still really fresh and just needs a bit
05:19of traffic and some time but all in all as a venue it's been really cool the
05:23training facilities are beautiful and I think once everything sort of settles
05:27down and they get that time it's it's gonna be a fantastic place to play
05:31and finally Bangladesh always come with a massive amount of fans and a lot of
05:36fanfare how do you guys keep that noise out and just concentrate on the job at
05:41hand yeah they will there'll be lots of Bangladesh supporters I'm sure I think
05:47we've been doing it now for for long enough that it's almost second nature
05:51you just zone into what's happening inside the boundary ropes and then
05:55putting a lot of focus on that a crowd cheering obviously will give away a lot
06:02of which team has the momentum so if they if they pretty quiet and it means
06:06we're doing well so we'll drive that message and try to keep the crowd as
06:11quiet as we can thank you very much
