00:15Okay.
00:17Who wants to kick off? Sam from the Telegraph.
00:21Michael, just tell us your thoughts, your feelings, how that was.
00:26Very difficult to put it into words, but what a moment.
00:32A lot of emotions, a lot of joy, pride.
00:38I think the manner that was on it represents what these guys are feeling
00:43and the reason why this magic happened.
00:46Does it feel like a weight has lifted?
00:48Are you a different person, a different coach?
00:51I'm the same one, but I'm happier and relieved, I would say.
00:57Obviously, throughout this journey, we have made some massive steps, you know,
01:01and we have accomplished a lot of things that, in my opinion, have a lot of value.
01:06But at the end of the day, we are here to win major trophies.
01:10That was the ultimate goal, and we were very close.
01:13And in three occasions, we fell short at the end, and that was very painful.
01:19But I think that's what has driven all of us to find new ways to show what we are made
01:25of.
01:26That's what I said, that the manner that we've done it, it makes it even better.
01:30Tom?
01:31Michael, when we spoke to you the other day, you hadn't yet touched the trophy.
01:35Now you've touched, now the team have touched it.
01:37How has that changed that feeling?
01:39It is different.
01:39It was magical the other night, and what we've done this afternoon here,
01:44it's, I would say, even better, because all the staff are there,
01:47everybody's touching it.
01:48You see the joy of the players, our supporters, the way they are behaving with the team.
01:54And, of course, the families are around as well, and it brings something else.
01:58Yes, sir.
01:59Hi, Mikel.
02:00Hi.
02:01Pitchside, you were in tears, you had your family there, there was all the families from
02:03the players too.
02:04Can you point to words just what this all means to you, getting this trophy after such
02:09a long wait?
02:10It's been a lot.
02:15They gave me the opportunity to manage this football club when I had no experience at all.
02:20So, first of all, I have some words of gratitude to everybody that was involved in that
02:25decision.
02:27And that's for sure, Edu, that's Tim, that's Vinay, that's a lot of people that were there.
02:34George and Stan are still here, and you can see their faces today.
02:38But there are a lot of people along the way that they've been crucial to this success,
02:43to build this connection, to be able to build a team that is so competitive, and ultimately
02:49that we have delivered the Premier League.
02:52Ed, got him.
02:54Hi, Mikel.
02:54Obviously you've got a very big game next week, but is it important to savour this moment
02:59and soak it up, and then you can go again for next week?
03:02We need to do, because we need that energy to flow, and going against that I think it
03:07will be a big mistake.
03:08We talked about already what we have to do in Budapest, how we're going to use all the
03:12incredible energy that we're all carrying towards that final.
03:17And tomorrow we're going to start to prepare it.
03:20And yeah, we can't wait to wait the new charts in the history of our club and leave the Champions
03:25League.
03:26Alex Pipcey.
03:27Hi, Mikel.
03:27Congratulations.
03:28You said there the main goal is to win ultimate major trophies, so now you've got your hands
03:33on it.
03:33Does it feel like this could be your era of dominance?
03:36You see teams go through periods of winning trophies.
03:39When they get the first one, they get on the run.
03:41What I said to the boys is that these shirts now represent something else.
03:45We are the champions, and that brings a lot of confidence, a different kind of presence
03:49and energy to it.
03:52But as well, another kind of responsibility as well.
03:54And my job now and everybody at the club is going to be to leave those standards now and
04:00achieve more, because I think we are capable of doing it.
04:04Mikel, you said that you've had moments where you've doubted whether you were the right
04:07man.
04:09How did you overcome those?
04:10And also, did you ever give any serious thought to maybe walking away?
04:14The people around me.
04:15Starting with my wife, with the boards.
04:20We just understand, because it's natural.
04:25At the end, I have a very special attachment to this football club.
04:30I just want the best for this football club.
04:32And sometimes, I know how much I have to dig in in a lot of things in this football club
04:38that are not noticeable outside to get to this point.
04:42And at the end, ultimately, what I want is to have this moment, because everybody's been
04:47waiting for so long.
04:49That's why I said that the Manor is the most beautiful thing, because I think this championship
04:56is about the we.
04:57And the reason everybody's feeling like this is because they all feel part of this.
05:01This is not about one player or two players.
05:04This is about a team that under a lot of noise, expectations and pressure, this team has
05:11used us as an inspiration to find the right road to success.
05:16And I'm so, so proud of that.
05:18Hi, Mikel.
05:19Congratulations.
05:20Just on that, have you had much chance to reflect on what it actually means to be a
05:24champion?
05:25The history of it, the meaning, the history of the club in that sense?
05:30I think now we need to go through the motions and do what we've done all season,
05:34which is win football matches.
05:36We win one more and we are the Champions of Europe.
05:39As simple as that.
05:40And the rest will come.
05:41OK, can we do two more?
05:43Matt, first.
05:44Hi, Mikel.
05:44We saw each of your staff had a different player's name on their back for the trophy
05:48lift.
05:49Whose idea was that?
05:50And was that something that each staff member chose the player?
05:52How did that work?
05:52I think it was the right thing to do.
05:53It's a tribute to the players.
05:55They are the ultimate protagonists.
05:57They are the ones that have done their jobs to give us the opportunity to live where
06:03we are living today.
06:04And they fully deserve that.
06:06And James.
06:07Hi, Mikel.
06:08I want to ask you about your relationship with the players.
06:10We saw you being thrown in the air by them over in front of the fans.
06:14It's a long season and you have to make a lot of hard decisions at different points,
06:18but it's clear they still hold you with real affection and with real love.
06:22So how does that make you feel?
06:25Well, I feel very privileged with the connection that we have between us, not only with me,
06:31but with the coaching staff and all the staff.
06:34And yeah, that's the reason that you can be at a club for six years, six and a half years,
06:38seven years, because you maintain that.
06:40And that's organic.
06:43And when they look at you, they still feel inspired.
06:46And they believe that you can still improve them and help them to live moments like today.
06:51Otherwise, it's impossible.
06:53And I do really feel that with them.
06:57And yeah, I'm very grateful.
06:59Thanks, guys.
07:00See you next week.
07:02two for the highlighting
07:03Thank you very much, guys.
07:05Congratulations.
07:06Congratulations.
07:06Thank you so much.
07:07See you next week.
07:09Thanks, guys.
07:11Appreciate you.
07:16What happened?
07:17You ate so much.
07:20What's it?
07:21That was fascinating.
07:22He broke my Europe.
